Important Reminder
Please remember that students will play outside at recess throughout the winter. It is important, therefore, that students dress warmly. Clothing appropriate for the weather will ensure that your child is comfortable during the winter months. Students who are feeling uncomfortably cold should talk to one of the playground supervisors about staying inside or coming inside to warm up.
Extremely cold temperatures, excessive wind, rain, or wet/slushy snow may cause us to remain indoors. Occasionally, we will bring students in through the front door when it’s especially cold in the morning and then have recess outdoors later in the day. Of course, anytime a student tells us they don’t feel well, or they are simply too cold, they are welcome to remain indoors for recess. Please see our school website for specific temperature guidelines for determining if an indoor recess will be scheduled due to cold weather.
Also, please remember that we do not have supervision on the playground until the buses arrive at 8:40 A.M. If you drive your child to school, please do not arrive prior to 8:40 A.M.
